How to read your reports

By Daniel Jimenez, founder of Kanbei · November 3, 2026 · 2 min read

A Kanbei guide — step by step, for organizers.

Reports is counts and lists for the org — no charts, tables and CSV downloads only. Three parts: the people table, the attendance table, and the report builder. It answers “who have we got, and who came?” — and the builder lets you shape those numbers into a report of your own.

People

The people table lists everyone, with their email, groups, tags, and whether they are visible in the directory. Filter by group, by tag, or by directory visibility, and download the filtered list as a CSV when you need it in a spreadsheet.

Attendance

The attendance table summarizes the registers you have saved: who came to which event, over a date range you pick, for one group’s events or all of them. Download it as a CSV to work with the numbers elsewhere. Registers that were never saved do not appear — attendance only counts once it is saved.

Report builder

Below the two tables, the report builder makes a report of your own: pick one of four datasets — people, attendance, event headcounts, or volunteer hours — how far back it looks, and how to group it. Save it to run again later, download it as a CSV, or have it emailed every week to owners and admins, once an email account is connected in Connectors.

Doing this in Kanbei

Open Reports from the sidebar, set the filters, read the tables, and download the CSV when you need the numbers elsewhere. It costs $20 a month, plus applicable taxes, for the whole organization, with unlimited members.

Common questions

Are there charts in Reports?

No. Reports is tables and CSV downloads only — counts and lists, not charts.

Why is an event missing from the attendance report?

Only saved registers count. If nobody pressed Save on that event’s register, it has no attendance to report.

Can I download the report?

Yes. The people table and the attendance table each have a CSV download, using the filters you set — and any report you build in the report builder can be downloaded as a CSV too.
