How to find anything fast with Jump to

By Daniel Jimenez, founder of Kanbei · November 3, 2026 · 1 min read

A Kanbei guide — step by step, for organizers.

There is one search in Kanbei: “Jump to…”. Press ⌘K (or Ctrl+K) anywhere in the workspace, or click “Jump to…” in the sidebar, type a few letters, and jump straight to a page, a person, or an action. There is no search bar in the header — this is it.

Jump to a page or start an action

Type the name of a page — “calendar”, “dues”, “settings” — and press Enter to open it. The same box lists actions you can start, such as adding a person or an event, so you do not have to go to the page first.

Search the records

For a deeper search, open the Search page from the sidebar. It lists matching people, groups, events, jobs, announcements, files, and dues in separate sections, so you can see which kind of thing matched and open it from there.

Doing this in Kanbei

Press ⌘K anywhere in the workspace, or click “Jump to…” in the sidebar. Type, pick, and you are there. The Search page is at /app/search for the full list of matches. It costs $20 a month, plus applicable taxes, for the whole organization, with unlimited members.
