How to put your group on a public page

By Daniel Jimenez, founder of Kanbei · November 3, 2026 · 2 min read

A Kanbei guide — step by step, for organizers.

Your public page is a page anyone can open — no account, no sign-in — showing what your group is and how to get involved: your calendar, the groups people can ask to join, and your open forms.

Turn it on and choose what shows

Open “Public page” from the sidebar and set what appears: which groups are listed, what the page says about your group, and which forms are open. The page lives at a public link, /o/your-group, which you can share anywhere.

Approve join requests

When someone asks to join a group from the public page, their request waits on the Public page screen until you approve or decline it. Nobody joins a group straight from the public page without someone saying yes.

Keep it current

The calendar on the page follows your real calendar, and the forms listed are the ones currently open — close a form and it leaves the page. Check the page after any change, the way a visitor would see it.

Doing this in Kanbei

Open “Public page” (turn it on in Settings → Tools if it is not on your sidebar), choose what shows, and share the link. Approve join requests from the same screen. It costs $20 a month, plus applicable taxes, for the whole organization, with unlimited members.

Common questions

Do visitors need an account to see our public page?

No. Anyone with the link can open it — no account, no sign-in.

What shows on the public page?

Your calendar, the groups people can ask to join, and your open forms — whichever of those you choose to show.

Can someone join a group straight from the public page?

No. They send a join request, and someone with permission approves or declines it.
